Brooke White is an undergraduate at the University of Michigan studying English and Creative Writing. She’s a Michigan native, with a penchant for prose and long conversations. When she’s not writing, reading or working, Brooke dances tango with the Argentine Tango club. On campus she’s a peer writing consultant and marketing communications intern. Off campus she spends her time traveling. Her favorite pieces of writing are “LaVita Nuova” by Allegra Goodman, “Interstellar” by Rebecca McClanahan, and Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris.

Sierra Elizabeth Hansen is a senior in the English department currently on hiatus and working for the Montana State AFL-CIO.  She has affections for Kendrick Lamar, her boss’ pitbull Lucy, and anything Maggie Nelson has ever written.  She is currently traipsing across the American West to the Southwest, and before she returns she’ll have flown to Salt Lake City and wintered during December in an RV in Tucson.  She has recently read Svetlana Alexievich’s Voices from Chernobyl and Joan Didion’s Where I Was From; The former broke her heart in several places.

Kaitlin (KB) is a student, but she is old as hell. In her younger years she studied English and International Studies. She is ready to read some dope poetry. For example, her 8th graders love acrostic poems. Dope.

Miranda Hency is a senior majoring in English with a minor in Gender, Race, & Nation in the Women’s Studies department. She loves books, poetry, cacti, and cats, and is very excited to be a part of The Oleander Review this year.
